Psychotherapy is a very private, intimate process and for that reason it’s often something that people don’t know much about. While some might have seen tv shows or movies that depict psychotherapy, these often don’t accurately portray the process of therapy. Although many people are open to seeing a therapist, there is still some stigma associated with being in therapy. This, along with it’s private nature, keeps clients from discussing their experience of treatment, further adding to the mystery of the therapeutic process.
In this blog, I’ll be writing about the ins and outs of therapy and in doing so will make therapy a more transparent process. I hope that by sharing information about my work and the proces of therapy in general, I can open up a dialogue and inform people about psychotherapy.
